Vaccinations and injections
Staying up to date on vaccines is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself and the people around you. Our pharmacists can help you decide what you need and give it right here.
Vaccines and injections
We can talk with you about seasonal and routine vaccines, such as influenza, COVID-19, shingles, pneumococcal, hepatitis and tetanus-diphtheria boosters, as well as vaccines for travel. Availability changes with the season and with supply, and some vaccines are publicly funded for eligible people while others are paid for privately. Call us and we will tell you what we have and what it costs, if anything.
Other injections
If your prescriber has ordered an injectable medication for you, ask us whether we can give it. Bring your prescription with you.
What to expect
- A few quick questions about your health, allergies and past reactions
- The vaccine is given by a pharmacist, usually in the upper arm
- We ask you to stay in the pharmacy for a short time afterwards so we can make sure you feel well
- You receive a record of your vaccine for your own files
Please tell us before your vaccine if
- You are sick with a fever or feeling unwell
- You have had a severe allergic reaction to a vaccine or an ingredient in it
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a weakened immune system
Age requirements
Age limits vary by vaccine, so call us before you come in.
